Southampton have just lost Jannik Vestergaard to Leicester City and as per the latest reports, the Saints are looking to bring in Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo as a replacement.
The Daily Echo cites the Express writing: “Reports from The Express have linked the Fulham man with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side.
“Fulham only paid under £2m to acquire him from City but have the option to extend his 2023 contract for a further year, adding value to his next price tag.
“Although the Cottagers were relegated, Adarabioyo impressed and proved that he could perform in the Premier League – and he’s still only 23.”
Will the Saints be able to sign Tosin Adarabioyo?
Tosin Adarabioyo has come up through the ranks at Manchester City and it was only last summer that he moved to Fulham.
The 23-year-old has really impressed during his time at Craven Cottage which is why Southampton are so eager to bring him on board.
It was being claimed that the Fulham defender had a significant release clause in his contract but according to the latest updates, that clause expired on July 14th.

FWL are claiming: “Fulham centre-back, Tosin Adarabioyo, has had little concrete interest in him at this stage of the transfer window, with his £10m release clause now expired, a source has revealed to Football League World.”
If this report is true then the 23-year-old could be available on a bargain deal, more so since he has only two years left on his current deal.
Tosin though is not the only player who is on Southampton’s transfer radar as they have also been linked with players like Joe Worrall and even the free agent Gary Cahill.
