Harry Kane Tottenham Hotspur playing for England

Spurs take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday and going by the dull atmosphere, there’s very little chance the Lilywhites will be able to pull out a win from this game.

The North London side go into this match at the back of a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in the derby and everyone is expecting Nuno’s side to come up with a proper response against Villa.

But according to Garry Neville, Spurs’ two superstars really look disinterested in playing for the club right now and if they don’t fire on Sunday then we do not see Nuno’s side picking up all three points.

“He[Harry Kane] just doesn’t look happy, last week I thought it was a risk shoving him on the left wing, today I thought he did play higher but the balls up to him were long punts in the first 20 minutes,” Neville said on Sky Sports, as reported.

“The big thing for me, you mentioned competitiveness, Harry doesn’t look himself in terms of his body language, he doesn’t look happy, he looks like he’s carrying the situation from the summer and he still could’ve had two or three goals and a penalty.

“There’s still a contribution, he’s not himself and neither is Son.

“So I’m not singling him out, Son and him look like they’ve had their balloons popped at a party when you were a kid.”

Harry Kane had his heart set on joining Manchester City in the summer and it seems like that failed move has not gone down too well with the England international.

The forward has not been the same since returning to duty this campaign and against Arsenal, he looked all over the place. He had only one shot on target throughout the match and had a passing success rate of just 45%. And to make matters worse, he managed only five accurate passes.

Harry Kane will need to pull himself back together in the next few days if Spurs want to pick up a win against Aston Villa, other than that, it will be very difficult for Nuno’s side to stage a comeback.

Villa go into this game having lost just one out of their previous five league matches whereas Spurs have lost their last three league games.
