Spurs beat Ajax in fine fashion in the Champions League semi-finals and will now take on Liverpool in the final at the Metropolitano this weekend.

The Lilywhites did not make a single signing during the past two transfer windows but still, they find then at the pinnacle of European glory – one step away from lifting that trophy.

Going into this high-profile game, Mauricio Pochettino does have a few selection headaches and most of it are surrounding Harry Kane.

Spurs news vs Liverpool:

Harry Kane picked up an ankle injury during the clash vs Manchester City and the striker has been fighting a race against time to be fit for the UCL final.

And now Pochettino has confirmed that Harry Kane has returned back to full training which is an indication that he is ready to start.

“Harry Kane in the last week, since Friday or Saturday, has started to be involved with the group,” Pochettino said.

“His situation is very positive. We have one week ahead until Saturday to evaluate [him] and see how he is progressing.

“But of course, like I have said in the past, it is so important for him to feel well and he is very positive.

“We will see what happens. I am not telling you he is going to be fit 100 per cent or that he is going to be available to play from the beginning or be on the bench or be out but we are so, so positive and happy with the progression.

The return of Harry Kane means that either Son or Lucas Moura will drop down to the bench. But after the heroics of the semi-finals, Pochettino will not dare to rest Moura for the final.

Jan Vertonghen will return to the central defence alongside Toby Alderweireld while Victor Wanyama will be assessed before the match.

Wanyama picked up a knock during the second leg vs Ajax but reports are suggesting that the midfielder should be fit to play vs Liverpool this weekend.
