Spurs have won one and drawn one game in the new season of the Premier League and next up they host Newcastle United at home.

The Lilywhites picked up a hard-fought draw vs Man City last weekend and Pochettino will be hoping that his attacking players can get back amongst the goal vs the Magpies especially since Newcastle are yet to pick up a point.

Spurs are currently sixth on the league table but a win can most certainly take them closer to the top of the pack more so since Liverpool and Arsenal will be playing each other this very same weekend.

Spurs news vs NUFC:

Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld have been the centre-back pairing of choice for Pochettino and they will once again marshal the backline vs the Magpies this weekend.

Ben Davies returned back to the bench last weekend vs Man City and there have been some rumours that the left-back will start vs NUFC this weekend.

But we feel that he will remain on the bench as Danny Rose keeps his place in the first XI on Sunday.

Ryan Sessegnon is currently recovering from a hip injury and has been ruled out of the match.

Juan Foyth’s ban has ended up the player remains sidelined with a foot injury alongside Dele Alli who is nursing a thigh injury and both these players still need a few more weeks to get back to full fitness.

Ndombele and Harry Winks started in central midfield vs Man City and the pair will keep their place when Newcastle United visit London on Sunday.

Moussa Sissoko has been a strong force in midfield for the Lilywhites and alongside Ndombele and Winks, he too will hopefully start.

Son Heung-Min is available for selection once again after serving his ban which is perhaps the biggest Spurs news going into this match and we believe the South Korean will be thrown directly into the action.

This would mean that Erik Lamela will drop down to the bench as Christian Eriksen moves to a more central role.

Harry Kane will lead the line up-front but if Spurs cannot wrap up the match quickly then Lucas Moura will most certainly be summoned from the bench in the second half.
