Spurs were humbled by Chelsea in the first leg of the Carabao Cup but thankfully they managed to keep the scoreline to just 0-2 meaning they can still pave a way into the finals.

Tottenham Hotspur were completely outplayed by the Blues and for the first time since taking charge, Antonio Conte did not have any answer to an opposing team’s tactics. This though is not likely to happen this week as the Lilywhites manager will come adequately prepared.

The Spurs boss has only a handful of injuries going into the second leg so he will definitely name his strongest side on Wednesday. But having said that, Conte will also have one eye on their next Premier League game which is a North London Derby vs Arsenal on Sunday.

The Lilywhites have what it takes to turn things around but Chelsea have a two-goal advantage so they are going to sit back and play mostly on the counter. And this could turn out to be the principal undoing for Tottenham on Wednesday.

Spurs team news vs Chelsea:

Lloris was the one who started in goal in the 1st leg and he is going to be the number one for the 2nd leg as well.

Eric Dier has returned to full fitness so he is going to start in central defence alongside Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez. Cristian Romero remains on the sidelines with a hamstring injury and he’s only going to return towards the end of this month.

Matt Doherty played as the left wing-back in the first leg but this time around, Reguilon is likely to come into the side with Emerson Royal playing on the other side.

Harry Winks came off the bench last week and given that Oliver Skipp had a poor outing in the first leg, Winks will be pushing for a start this time around.

Son will be out for two odd weeks which means either Dele Alli or Lo Celso will get a start on Wednesday. Giovanni Lo Celso had a brilliant game against Morecambe in the FA Cup and based on that performance alone, he should be the one starting alongside Lucas Moura and Harry Kane.

Dele Alli has mostly been used as a substitute this season and the Spurs boss will use him in the same role against Chelsea as well.

Spurs predicted line up vs Chelsea:

Predicted Starting Line-up(3-4-2-1): Lloris; Ben Davies, Dier, Sanchez; Hojbjerg, Skipp/Harry Winks, Royal, Reguilon; Moura, Lo Celso/Dele Alli, Harry Kane.
