Spurs are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table, winning all three of their games but things are about to get really tough for the new manager this coming weekend.

Spurs take on Crystal Palace in matchweek four of the Premier League and Nuno Espirito Santo is going to be without seven first-team regulars for this game.

Several players will miss out due to the quarantine rules while others have picked up injuries during the international break. This means the manager will have to name a really weak starting XI against Palace and hope that they get them over the line because his bench strength will be really limited.

Thankfully, Spurs have a really solid record against Crystal Palace as they are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 matches across all competitions and so far this campaign, the Eagles are yet to pick up a win, losing one and drawing the other. We don’t think it is going to be an upset in terms of the result but there’s every chance that Palace could come out with a point from this game.

Spurs team news vs Crystal Palace:

Pierluigi Gollini will once again remain on the bench as Hugo Lloris starts in front of goal. The manager will not want to risk making a change to his No 1 spot with so many key players already missing.

Japhet Tanganga has been playing at right-back so far this season but Emerson Royal is likely to come into the side as Tanganga moves into the centre-back role.

Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez are both going to miss this encounter since they will have to quarantine after travelling to South America during the international break.

Ryan Sessegnon is another player who is going to miss out with an injury that he picked up last week. Oliver Skipp is also on the same bandwagon after having injured his groin while playing for the England U21s.

With Skipp remaining a doubt, Harry Winks is going to come into midfield alongside Hojbjerg.

Son has likely picked up a calf injury while playing for South Korea and he is one of the major doubts going into this weekend’s game. If he is not fit and available for selection then it will be a nightmare situation for the manager since Steven Bergwijn is also injured.

The winger picked up a knock during the Netherlands’s 6-1 win over Turkey on Tuesday and is not likely to feature in the matchday squad vs Palace.

“Heung-min felt uncomfortable in his right calf after training on the 6th [of September], and as a result of the test, he was excluded in order to protect the player,” the KFA said in a statement, as quoted.

With so many first-team players out injured, the Spurs boss is likely to call 20-year-old Bryan Gill into the starting line up who will play on the left-wing as Lucas Moura operates on the right-hand side.

Spurs predicted line up vs Crystal Palace:

Predicted Starting Line up: Lloris; Emerson Royal, Dier, Tanganga, Reguilon; Ali, Harry Winks, Hojbjerg; Gil/Son, Lucas Moura, Harry Kane.
