Spurs suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League, this time going down 2-1 to Aston Villa and this loss means they could miss out on European football next season.

Tottenham are in a real mess right now and if they cannot win their final game of the season on Sunday against Leicester City then could very well end the season ninth on the table.

Ryan Mason is doing the best he can to sort things out before the arrival of the next manager but Harry Kane expressing a desire to leave in the summer has surely not made things any easier for him.

Spurs have managed to pick up three wins in their previous five league matches but Leicester have been in far better form over the past couple of months so we really don’t expect the North London side to come out and dominate this match from the very first minute.

Spurs team news vs Leicester City:

Ben Davies remains on the sidelines with an injury and once again Mason has confirmed that he will not play any part this season.

The manager told the press: “He’s returning to some light training so that’s positive for him, but he’s not available for selection for the weekend.”

Japhet Tanganga picked up an ankle ligament injury in midweek during the Aston Villa game and he too is not going to be available on Sunday so Aurier is set to return to the side.

“I’m not sure how many weeks it will be (for him to recover) but it was quite a nasty one,” Ryan said.

Harry Winks played in central midfield alongside Hojbjerg on Wednesday night but we expect Lo Celso to come back into the side for the Leicester City game.

Dele Alli has been gaining steady momentum after the departure of Jose Mourinho and the England international is expected to get yet another start for Spurs this weekend.

Some experts believe Harry Kane could be put on the bench after his recent comments on his future but with a European place at stake, there’s no way Ryan Mason will take that call.

Kane is a guaranteed starter for Spurs along with Son and Gareth Bale.

Here’s how Spurs could line up on Sunday:

Possible Line-up: Lloris; Reguilon. Dier, Alderweireld, Aurier; Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Dele Alli; Son, Gareth Bale, Harry Kane.
