Spurs are not having the best of seasons but somehow, they are still very much in the race for a top-four finish. Currently, they are just three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.

Next up, Tottenham will welcome Manchester City on Sunday and a lot is riding on the outcome of this match – for both teams. A loss for either side will be a big blow to their plans for the next of the campaign.

Man City beat Spurs 4-2 in their previous meeting last month so the home side will be eager to level things up this weekend. However, Spurs will have to achieve this without their manager because Conte won’t be on the touchline.

Antonio Conte underwent surgery on Wednesday so he will be away from the touchline for a few weeks. During this time, his assistant will be in charge of the matches.

Tottenham’s team news against Manchester City:

Thankfully, Antonio Conte has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from so we don’t expect to see any major reshuffles from the Fulham game.

Eric Dier, Romero and Ben Davies will make up the three-man defensive line with Hojbjerg and Bentancur playing as the two central midfielders.

Bissouma has struggled to kick-start his Spurs career so he will have to be content with a place on the bench once again.

Richarlison has picked up an abductor issue but the Brazilian international should be fully fit in time to face Manchester City. However, we don’t think he will get a place in the starting line up because Antonio Conte trusts Son and Kulusevski as his two wide attackers.

Son has been really underwhelming this season but he did provide the only assist of the game vs Fulham so he won’t be pushed to the bench, that’s for sure.

Spurs predicted line up vs Man City:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-4-2-1): Lloris; Romero, Dier, Ben Davies; Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Ivan Persic, Emerson Royal; Kulusevski, Son; Harry Kane.
