3-4-3 Spurs’ predicted line up vs Sporting CP: Richarlison starts again?

Spurs overcame the Marseille test last week and since their latest Premier League game has been postponed, their next game will be in the Champions League as well – against Sporting CP.

The Marseille game was pretty end to end so this unwanted break will be a major help for Antonio Conte’s side. They beat the French side 2-0 and they will be eager to keep this winning run going.

Tottenham and Sporting will face each other for the first time and the odds are heavily in favour of Conte’s side. Sporting had conceded 11 home goals in the Champions League last season and with the kind of form they are in right now, Spurs should be looking at a pretty comfortable win.

This weekend Spurs were scheduled to play Manchester City this weekend but since that game has been postponed, Antonio Conte has gotten the chance to all the players who played vs Marseille. Otherwise, the Italian would have used a second-fiddle side but since they did not play on Saturday, the manager will use his strongest first XI.

Tottenham’s team news vs Sporting CP:

Ben Davies has been warming the benches in the previous few matches as it’s Lenglet who’s been playing as the third central defence alongside Eric Dier and Romero.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur have reprised their partnership in central midfield but the Spurs boss also has Yves Bissouma at his disposal so there’s a chance the summer signing could replace one of them.

Perisic provided an assist against Marseille and we expect him to hold onto his place this week as well. The Croatian has slowly taken the place of Sessegnon on the right-hand side and, on the other side, it’s going be Emerson Royal.

Richarlison scored a brace in his first ever Champions League match and he’s gone on to prove that Conte signing him in the summer was not a gamble after all.

He’s made a massive impact during the last few weeks and it’s almost certain that the Brazilian is going to start ahead of Kulusevski on Tuesday.

Ideally, Conte would have used this game as the chance to test his bench strength because Sporting are not a very tough side but since they have been properly rested, we expect the Spurs boss to make minimal changes to his first XI.

Spurs predicted line up vs Sporting:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-4-2-1): Lloris; Lenglet, Romero, Eric Dier; Perisic, Royal, Bentancur, Hojbjerg/Bissouma; Son, Richarlison; Harry Kane.
