Spurs managed to nick a point off of Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend and the Lilywhites are finally playing like a proper Antonio Conte side.

Next up, Tottenham take on West Ham United in the EFL Cup on Wednesday and given that David Moyes is expected to rotate his players, Conte will be looking to pick up an easy win. Spurs have just been eliminated from the Conference League so the League Cup is a major chance for the team to win a silverware this season.

Conte is surely going to rest some key players for this encounter but thanks to the postponement of games, Spurs have gotten a long rest during this busy winter schedule. This will allow the manager to keep some of his big-name players on the pitch despite them playing an intense game against Liverpool.

The Hammers have seen a slight dip in form in recent weeks but they too will be eager to go ahead in this tournament. This is obviously going to be a closely fought encounter but Antonio Conte’s side are the slight favourites primarily because he has more fit players for this encounter.

Spurs team news vs West Ham United:

Antonio Conte is likely to stick with the same formation, opting for a 3-5-2 system so that he can deploy Reguilon and Tanganga as the two wing-backs.

Eric Dier is expected to hold onto his place in the side but Davinson Sanchez is going to move to the bench, with Joe Rodon coming in.

Ryan Sessegnon put in a pretty decent shift vs Liverpool but Reguilon will come into the first XI when Spurs face West Ham United.

Oliver Skipp came off the bench during the weekend but on Wednesday he is going to get a start. Dele Alli though will be rested despite giving a 7.1 out of 10 performance against Liverpool.

Harry Kane was lucky to remain on the pitch during the weekend and it will be interesting to see if Antonio Conte chooses to rest him or not. Ideally, Kane should be playing so that he can get back amongst the goals but the Spurs manager does have the option of using Steven Bergwijn.

Son though will be watching from the bench as Lucas Moura will get a start.

Spurs predicted line up vs West Ham United:

Predicted Starting XI: Lloris; Davies, Eric Dier, Rodon; Reguilon, Lo Celso, Skipp, Winks, Tanganga; Harry Kane, Moura.
