Spurs head to Aston Villa in the Premier League this weekend and Antonio Conte will get a major selection advantage because of two injury boosts.

The club have confirmed in their latest update that both Reguilon and Sessegnon have reported back to training which means they are in contention to start on Saturday.

These two injuries were major headaches for the manager since if neither of them had been fit in time then someone like Matt Doherty would have had to play as the left wing-back.

The manager though has confirmed the return of Reguilon and Sessegnon: “There are two bits of good news – today, Sergio Reguilon and also Ryan Sessegnon did the training session with us, and now there is only Oliver Skipp to come back to the team with a training session.

“But it’s a good feeling about the recovery, about Sergio and Ryan.”

Who will start at left wing-back for Spurs?

Reguilon had an outstanding game against West Ham United and if he is fully fit then he will start as the left wing-back on Saturday.

Doherty was brilliant against Newcastle United in that same role but he’s not a natural left full-back so Reguilon’s return is a massive boost for the Spurs boss.

Spurs have found form at the perfect time and they will need to pick up all three points if they wish to hold onto the fourth spot on the Premier League table. Tottenham do not have a very big squad so every injury boost is a massive plus for Antonio Conte.

The Italian has more or less selected his starting line up and on Saturday, he will be able to name his strongest XI at Villa Park.

Sergio Reguilon has scored two and assisted three goals in 23 Premier League games this season and so far he has a 7.30 out of 10.
