Spurs have gone unbeaten in four Premier League matches under the guidance of Antonio Conte but it looks like another dip in form might be coming soon.

Conte has just started to work his magic at the North London club but now as per the latest reports, as many as six Tottenham players have tested positive for COVID.

In the latest round of testing(November 29 to December 5), six Spurs players along with two staff members have tested positive but the sources confirm that Antonio Conte’s report has come negative.

It’s still unclear who these players are but if they are members of the first-team squad then the Spurs boss will be having major selection headaches for the next few game weeks.

If these cases are confirmed via PCR tests then the six players will have to isolate for the next 10 days meaning they are sure to miss the next three matches.

These players will be absent from the Conference League game vs Rennes and will also miss the next two league games vs Brighton and Leicester City.

Both Brighton and Leicester have been in decent form this season so if Spurs are without some key players then there’s every chance that the Lilywhites could be dropping points in these matches.

If everything goes well then these players will return for the game vs Liverpool on the 19th of December but we have seen that many COVID-hit players take much longer than 10 days to make a full recovery.

After a dismal start to the campaign, Spurs were just moving up the ladder but there’s a massive chance this COVID outbreak is going to bring a halt to their progress.

On the other hand, this is great news for the likes of Brighton and Leicester.

During the busy Christmas, period teams are desperate for a rest and in such a scenario if Leicester and Brighton get the chance to play a depleted Spurs side then nothing like it.

As far as Liverpool are concerned, it really doesn’t matter who they are facing so it’s Spurs who should be worried about avoiding an embarrassing result if they are putting out a second-fiddle side vs Jurgen Klopp’s side due to this COVID outbreak.
