Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs lost substantial ground in the title challenge this weekend when they dropped points at Turf Moor.

But the Lilywhites will be hoping to put the record straight when they take on Chelsea on Wednesday.

The Blues have lost their previous encounter to Man City in the Carabao Cup final and their manager is amidst a huge deal of pressure – both on and off the pitch.

So it is a perfect opportunity for Pochettino to strike a lethal blow and pick up all three points at the Bridge.

The club though have confirmed that they will be without Eric Dier who is out with tonsillitis meaning Poch is expected to name an unchanged midfield on Wednesday.

Dele Alli too will miss this encounter as he is recovering from a hamstring injury and is a few weeks away from full fitness.

Like Eric Dier, Dele Alli too shouldn’t be a huge miss especially since Harry Kane has returned back to the fold and will play alongside Son up front.

Apart from all these absentees, Kieran Trippier and Davinson Sanchez are set to return to the first XI vs Chelsea after the duo was rested for the weekend clash.

Kieran Tripper will replace Serge Aurier at right wing-back will Sanchez will move back into central defence alongside Vertonghen and Alderweireld.

Spurs will most certainly have the edge over Chelsea going into this match and given that Pochettino has a packed midfield, it might very well be that Jorginho has yet another poor show for the Blues.
