Spurs were picking up positive results under Antonio Conte but all of a sudden they have seen a slump in form. Tottenham have suffered losses in their previous two Premier League games, the last one being a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Southampton.

Conte will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways in their next match against Wolves but Bruno Lage’s side could very well cause another upset. Wolves were really unlucky not to pick up something against Arsenal on Thursday and if they can manage to play with the same intensity then surely Spurs are going to face some major problems.

Wolves are just two points behind Spurs on the Premier League table and they have won their previous three away games so if Conte’s side cannot avoid a defeat then the North London side will slip down to the eighth spot. The Lilywhites have played a few lesser games than all the other top-four contenders but if they keep losing such unwanted games then they will never be able to grab a Champions League spot.

The manager is expected to rotate his starting line up somewhat but he does not have too many options to fall back to so most of the players who featured vs Southampton are going to take the field on Sunday as well.

Spurs team news vs Wolves:

Japhet Tanganga and Eric Dier remain sidelined with injuries so the defensive line is going to remain unchanged for the Wolves game with Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez partnering Cristian Romero.

Hojbjerg had a really poor outing in midweek as he had a rating of just 6.8 out of 10 for the Saints game and on Sunday we are likely to see Rodrigo Bentancur make his full debut in midfield.

Right wing-back Emerson Royal and Sanchez were also very poor on Thursday but the Spurs boss does not have too many options on the bench so both of them are expected to hold onto their place on the bench.

Oliver Skipp is still recovering from his groin injury and the Wolves game will come too early for him which means Harry Winks will partner Bentancur in midfield.

Son and Harry Kane are obviously guaranteed starters but there’s a slight doubt if Lucas Moura will hold onto his place or not. Dejan Kulusevski replaced him on Thursday and there’s a chance the January signing could get the nod ahead of Moura.
