Rangers FC midfielder Ross McCrorie has been a key figure for Steven Gerrard’s first team plans this season.

But if the Gers manager is not careful, the youngster could be on his way out of the club this month.

According to multiple reports, Swansea City are planning to launch a bid for Ross McCrorie during the January transfer window.

Swansea boss Graham Potter is said to be a huge admirer of the defensive midfielder and the rumours suggest that the English club have made Ross McCrorie their primary target during the January transfer window.

Ross McCrorie has come up through the ranks at Ibrox and this season after an initial hiccup, the midfielder has made himself a mainstay in the first XI.

So far McCrorie has made 19 appearances for Rangers in all competitions and his recent run of games suggest that the player is very much part of Gerrard’s long-term plans at the club.

But the biggest question is, whether the Teddy Bears will be able to hold onto him?

One saving grace for the Glasgow outfit is the fact that Ross McCrorie’s current deal at the club runs out in 2022 so they are in no haste to offload him.

But according to TransferMarkt, the defensive midfielder is valued at 1 million euros meaning Swansea can easily put the cash on the table if they are at all serious about signing Ross McCrorie.

Ross McCrorie is one of the most versatile players in the Rangers squad given he can play in central defence as well as at right-back apart from his natural position of a defensive midfielder.
