Spanish side Sevilla are likely to try and sign Xherdan Shaqiri and Takumi Minamino from Liverpool FC during the summer transfer window for a combined fee of €25 million.

La Razon claim: “Although the 29-year-old attacker has been linked to Sevilla on previous occasions, this summer he would have more options than ever to join the Andalusian team.

“Xherdan Shaqiri still does not have the prominence he expected at Liverpool and both he and the English club would be willing to part ways with him in the summer.

“In addition to Xherdan Shaqiri, the Seville team wants to take over Takumi Minamino. This 26-year-old Japanese winger has no place at Liverpool, which is why he has been loaned to Southampton in the winter market, and that is something Sevilla would like to take advantage of to take over his services for the next season.”

Will Liverpool allow both Minamino & Shaqiri to leave?

As per the report, Sevilla are willing to pay around €15 million for the services of Xherdan Shaqiri and this seems quite a fair value for a player who has played only 770 minutes of first-team football this season.

The Swiss international has two more years left on his current deal with Liverpool but right now, he’s absolutely useless to Jurgen Klopp. So if Sevilla are actually willing to pay €15 million for him then we don’t see why Liverpool will not be ready to part ways with him.

The same cannot be said for Takumi Minamino though since the Japanese has shone ever since he moved to Southampton on a loan deal.

At St Mary’s, the 26-year-old has proven that he can play in the Premier League so Liverpool will not to make any hasty decisions regarding his transfer.

Sevilla are willing to pay around €10 million for Takumi Minamino in the summer and this is just to low for a player who still has a lot of time to prove his worth to Jurgen Klopp.

So, while Xherdan Shaqiri has a big chance of moving to Spain in the summer but we doubt that Minamino will follow in the same footsteps.
