Chelsea had been cruising in the Premier League just two weeks ago but now they have suffered back-to-back defeats with the latest one coming at home this weekend.

The Blues lost to Manchester City last weekend at the Etihad and then went on to draw their UCL clash vs Valencia in midweek. And on Saturday they surprisingly went down 1-0 to a West Ham United side who had been really struggling.

Aaron Cresswell got the only goal of the match in the 48th minute and to be honest after a really long time, Chelsea looked completely toothless going forward.

Yes, the home side were missing the services of Tammy Abraham but apart from that Lampard had all his major players fully fit but still, they weren’t able to break into the Hammers castle.

And while everyone had been wondering if playing three games in just a span of 8 days had taken a toll on Chelsea, Jorginho has claimed that not converting their chances to goals was one of the major reasons why West Ham went away with all three points.

‘Tired? I don’t think so. Maybe yes, but we created some chances and we did not score when we should and I think that is the problem,’ Jorginho told the club’s official website.

‘You can create so many chances and when you create you have to score.

‘I think we need to be more clinical when we create a chance. We didn’t and we concede a goal and then West Ham were so closed after they scored and it was difficult.

‘They [West Ham] played well. They had some chances and they scored. We are disappointed for the result and now we look to another game in three days.

‘Of course, we need to be confident and we will prepare for that game, we want to win that game.’

Next up, Chelsea have yet another midweek fixture where they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League and Frank Lampard will be itching to get back to winning ways.
