David Moyes West Ham United

West Ham United are preparing to offer new and improved contracts to midfielder Tomas Soucek and full-back Vladimir Coufal, according to Claret and Hugh.

The two players have been instrumental in helping the Hammers secure a European spot this season which is why Moyes is so eager to hold onto them for a long period of time.

The report claims: “There were fears that the wages handed out to marquee defender signing Kurt Zouma could cause a degree of unrest but nothing could be further from the truth!

“Our sources have confirmed that Soucek will be offered a bumper new deal at the end of the season after proving his worth as one of the best midfielders in the country, if not the continent.

“And negotiations are continuing over a new deal for Coufal, with the right-back set to receive a major wage hike.”

Will Tomas Soucek and Coufal both agree to sign the new deals?

Tomas Soucek has formed a formidable partnership with Declan Rice and up until now, he has shown no signs of discontent at the club.

So we don’t expect him to make too much of a fuss about this new offer, given if he gets a substantial pay rise.

Vladimir Coufal though is not happy with the terms of the new deal and since his contract expires in 2023, West Ham United will have to find a solution really fast.

Moyes will not be worrying about Soucek as his deal is until 2024 but Coufal might have to be sold for cheap next season if the club cannot make him agree to the terms of a new offer.
