Former Premier League star Jamie O’Hara has come out to praise West Ham United’s Tomas Soucek but has also sounded the alarm bells regarding a potential interest from Man United.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT, as per Inside Futbol: “He has been awesome. He has transformed West Ham and what a player he has been for them.

“A great signing that went under the radar, but his performances have been absolutely exceptional. He has turned into a proper top player in the Premier League and West Ham are lucky to have him, but I think they might struggle to keep hold of him.

“If you are Soucek and you are having the season you are and say someone like Man United come because Man United need a player like him. He would come into Manchester United’s team with his energy, his runs and he scores goals.

“It’s hard to keep hold of someone when big teams like that come in for you.”

Will Man United come calling for Tomas Soucek this summer?

Tomas Soucek has been a key player for David Moyes’ side this season and the 26-year-old is one of the main reasons why the Hammers are challenging for a top-four finish.

So far, the Czech midfielder has started each and every Premier League game for the Hammers and his performances have caught the attention of many big clubs, including Manchester United.

Fred has been really underwhelming this season in the middle of the park and if Ole can get a chance to replace the Brazilian with someone like Tomas Soucek then he won’t even think twice.

McTominay and Fred have mostly partnered up in defensive midfield for Man United this season but the pair’s far from reliable. So there’s a big chance that the Man United boss could knock on West Ham’s door to see if Soucek is up for sale or not.

Declan Rice could be on his way out of West Ham this summer and there’s now way that Moyes will want to lose Soucek in the same transfer window.

The Hammers will do all they can to hold onto Rice for one more season but they know this transfer is inevitable. But given that Tomas Soucek has been with the club for only a year, West Ham United will be a bit more secure about his future.
