The UCL and the Europa League are back in action this week and just before the elite tournaments restart, UEFA has provided with some great news.
The governing body of European football has announced that they will be releasing 30,000 more free tickets for all the teams who will play in the different European finals.
UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin announced on Monday that they will be releasing the extra tickets for the finals of the Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League and the women’s Champions League.
But while making this announcement, UEFA has made it clear that these tickets will have to be offered to the clubs’ supporters and not to any sponsors or officials.
Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, said: “Football fans are the lifeblood of the game and we thought it would be a nice way to recognise the difficulties they have experienced over the last two years and how they nevertheless still managed to support their teams and live their passion even when away from the stadiums.
“Fans are playing an integral part in the development of football, and we must ensure that loyal travelling supporters can attend historical moments for their cherished teams at affordable prices.”
How many extra free tickets will be allotted and at what ratio?
The number of extra tickets to be released will be 30,000 and they will be divided in the following ratio:
Women’s Champions League final – 6,000.
Europa Conference final – 6,000.
Europa League final – 8,000.
UCL final – 10,000.
🎟️ To reward fans for their support of European football during the COVID crisis, UEFA will provide thousands of tickets free of charge to this season's club competition finals.

UEFA also freeze ticket prices:
UEFA have also frozen category four and three ticket prices for the next three men’s Champions League finals(2022 to 2024). The prices have been frozen at €70 and €180 respectively.
What does this mean for the fans attending the UCL and UEL finals?
The UCL and UEL in particular are one of the most hyped footballing events in Europe and more often than not fans are priced out from the finale.
Prices of travel and accommodation are already high and the scarcity of tickets makes the situation even more difficult for the fans. The allocation of the extra tickets will make things easier for the fans of whichever teams reach the finals and the fact that UEFA has made it clear that these extra seats are only to be given to the loyal fans makes this very straightforward.
The freezing of the ticket prices also means that fans will have one less to worry about when they travel to see their favourite team play in the final.
