Manchester United will take on Valencia away from home in the Champions League on Wednesday and we can expect some major reshuffle in the first XI.

United have already qualified for the knockout stages meaning Jose Mourinho will have the chance to rest some of his key players before the clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Valencia vs Man United: United team news

Eric Bailly made a superb comeback last week in the Premier League and we believe Mourinho will bring him back once again against Valencia.

Bailly should be partnered by Phil Jones in central defence. Marcos Rojo is also fit for the game but we believe Mourinho will be saving him for the Liverpool clash since he has just returned from injury.

Paul Pogba has been pushed to the bench for the last couple of games but Mourinho is expected to bring him back against Valencia which would mean that the World Cup winner will once again go back to the bench against Liverpool on Sunday.

Both Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera will be rested for the game meaning academy graduates Scott McTominay and Andreas Perera should start alongside Paul Pogba in midfield.

Romelu Lukaku scored against Fulham last weekend and the Belgium international should start up front once again.

Juan Mata has been integral for Jose Mourinho plans this season and the manager has used the Spaniard whenever he has needed creativity.

But given both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford should start versus Liverpool next weekend we do not feel Jose Mourinho would want to waste Juan Mata’s talents on the bench on Wednesday.
