Vincent Kompany’s testimonial is set to take place on the 11th of September at the Etihad Stadium and it’s setting up to be a cracking affair.

Kompany joined Manchester City in 2008 from Hamburger SV and the prolific defender finally chose to hang up his boots for City at the end of the previous season.

And in order to celebrate the success that the Belgium international has had at the club, a number of Premier League’s legends have agreed to be part of Vincent Kompany’s testimonial next month.

We already know that the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva will be part of the Man City XI alongside a certain Mario Balotelli and they will be managed by current City manager Pep Guardiola.

Now reports have confirmed that a number of players from the famous Class of 92 for Man United will also be part of Vincent Kompany’s testimonial.

The likes of Scholes, Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs are set to play for the Premier League All-Stars since most of them were active players when Kompany came to Man City.

As things are shaping up, it is looking more like a Manchester Derby since most of the player’s in the Premier League All-Stars team are former Man United players.

But we are pretty sure that more players from other clubs will also join in as the game come closer.

Belgium manager Roberto Martinez is set to manage the All-Stars side.
