Manuel Pellegrini brought in Samir Nasri during the January transfer window on a six-month loan spell.

And since arrival, the player has put in a decent work effort at the London Stadium.

So far Samir Nasri has played in only five Premier League games but this was because the midfielder had picked up an injury.

Pellegrini brought in Samir Nasri to West Ham because the pair had previously worked together at Man City and many pundits feel that the midfielder is likely to be handed a new deal at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old is still to reach his peak form this season but even he is not sure where his future lies beyond the summer transfer window.

“I don’t know about my future,” said the former France international.

“The most important thing for me was to come back, which I did in January.

“Then I got an injury because I wasn’t used to playing week in week out when I have been out of the game for so long.

“Now the manager takes his time with me. I have seven games left and I just want to play free of injury and then we will sit down and see what is next.”

Samir Nasri plays in the exact same position as Manuel Lanzini and ever since the Argentinian has returned back from injury, Nasri has fallen down the pecking order.

But if Manuel Pellegrini was to look at the bigger picture then surely West Ham will be handing Samir Nasri a new deal since he can act as the perfect back-up to Lanzini.
