West Ham United want Divock Origi Liverpool FC
Divock Origi Liverpool FC

As many as six major UK sides have been linked with Liverpool forward Divock Origi so there’s a big chance the 26-year-old is going to head out of Anfield.

Liverpool want to sign Ismaila Sarr this summer which is why Jurgen Klopp is ready to cash in on Xherdan Shaqiri and Origi so he can use the funds to sign the Watford winger.

A report in 90min claims: “Belgian star Origi started just two league games for Liverpool last season and his agents have been working hard on finding him a new club.

“There is interest from abroad, but also the Premier League and Scotland with Southampton, West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Rangers and Celtic all monitoring his situation.”

Will West Ham United beat all the other competition to sign Divock Origi?

Divock Origi is useless to Liverpool at the moment as last season he played in only 17 games across all competitions, scoring only a single goal.

The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract so Liverpool are not going to wait any longer to cash in on the striker. And with so many clubs interested in him, Liverpool should not have a problem in finding a buyer.

According to TransferMarkt, Origi is valued at only £10.80 million which is why SPFL sides Rangers and Celtic have shown an inclination towards signing the forward but we doubt if he will be ready to head to Scotland next season.

Divock Origi is likely to remain in the Premier League if he leaves Liverpool and as things stand, West Ham United will be the ideal destination for him.

Amongst all the above-mentioned clubs, West Ham are the only club who have secured European football next season and since David Moyes is already looking for a new centre-forward, the two parties’ interest will align perfectly.
