West Ham United playing in Europe means David Moyes will be trying to bring in a lot of fresh faces for the new season and one of the names being continuously linked with the Hammers is that of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Liverpool midfielder has failed to live up to the hype at Anfield since his move from Arsenal a couple of years ago. During the 2020-21 season, Ox has played in only 13 Premier League games for Liverpool, scoring one and assisting another goal.

The Hammers have been strongly linked with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the past few months and as per a report by Anfield Central, West Ham are planning to make a move for the midfielder despite being told that he is not up for sale.

The report claimed: “Despite his staccato-esque career with the club so far, Jurgen Klopp has no plans to sell him and views him as an integral part of his squad, valuing his versatility and hard work.

“Anfield Central sources have been learned that West Ham have once again approached the Reds about signing Chamberlain, with David Moyes of the belief he can succeed at the London club.”

The 27-year-old would have been a pretty solid signing for Moyes but now even the ever-reliable Claret & Hugh have made it clear that West Ham United have no interest in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

They claim: “David Moyes’ only focus is to sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal and currently has no interest in Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

“The 27 -year -old dynamic midfielder has been a bit-part player since arriving for £35m from Arsenal in 2017. His biggest issue has been injuries, some things fans at his former club were all too familiar with as well.

“In recent days West Ham have been linked to Oxlade-Chamberlain.”

Liverpool are planning to sell Naby Keita this summer so we can understand why Jurgen Klopp is not ready to part ways with Oxlade-Chamberlain. And now with West Ham United out of the picture, the Anfield outfit will not have to sweat it out to hold onto the England international.
