4-2-3-1 West Ham United’s predicted line up vs Liverpool: Ben Johnson at right-back ahead of Coufal?

West Ham United were held to a 2-2 draw by Genk in the Europa League but that draw will do very little to dent their confidence before they face Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Hammers go into this game sitting fourth on the league table, just two points behind Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. This means if Moyes’ side can pick up a win then they will move above the Reds as well as Manchester City in the table.

West Ham have won four out of their previous five league matches but beating Liverpool will be a no walk in the park since the Reds have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 away matches in the league.

David Moyes has an almost fully fit squad to choose from so he will be able to name his strongest XI on Saturday. Klopp’s side are obviously the favourites to pick up all three points but given the form that West Ham United are in right now, we are sure to see a thrilling encounter at the London Stadium.

West Ham United news vs Liverpool:

Diop and Dawson played against Genk in central defence so Kurt Zouma and Ogbonna will come into the side and they will perhaps have the most crucial game of this season, facing Salah, Mane and Jota.

Vladimir Coufal started on Thursday in the Europa League clash which means Ben Johnson is going to start at right-back against Liverpool. The 21-year-old has been stellar in recent weeks and it’s clear that Moyes has full faith in him to come up with the good even against a team like Liverpool.

Andriy Yarmolenko and Nikola Vlasic are the only two players who remain doubtful for Sunday’s game but we don’t think David Moyes will be too worried about them missing out against Liverpool.

The manager told the press: “Andriy had a little bit of an injury before we went away to Genk, Nikola Vlasic as well, so we’ll see how they are.

“We lost a couple of players in midweek to small niggles, nothing serious, but that limited us a little bit, but that can easily happen.”

Masuaku played on the left flank vs Genk and he will be replaced by Fornals while Bowen starts on the other side of attack. Michail Antonio will hold onto his place from Thursday’s game but Lanzini will move to the bench.
