West Ham United slumped to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Newcastle United during the opening day of the new Premier League season.

And things are not going to get any easier for David Moyes and his men since the Hammers will now have to face Arsenal at the Emirates.

West Ham United played in the EFL Cup second round match vs Charlton in midweek where Moyes chose to feature a number of his regular starters meaning these players will get very little time to recover.

Yes, this is going to be an uphill battle for West Ham United but the positive thing for their manager is the fact that he has no injury concerns(apart from the forever injured Wilshere) going into this match.

West Ham United team news vs Arsenal:

Ogbonna was rested in midweek but will come into the central defence alongside Issa Diop while Ryan Fredericks will also return to the starting XI.

Declan Rice and Soucek will reprise their roles in central midfield from the Magpies game while Mark Noble plays a bit further upfront.

Manuel Lanzini started vs Charlton in the EFL Cup match but he is likely to move back to the bench as Moyes will surely prefer to use the experience of someone like Noble in order to break down Arsenal’s swift play from the back.

Yarmolenko will also move back to the bench as Jarrod Bowen comes into the side at the Emirates.

Felipe Anderson scored against Charlton and there’s a big chance that he could get to keep his place in the starting line-up for West Ham United this weekend.

Sebastien Haller netted a brace in midweek but he should be making way for Michail Antonio to start up front.

Some experts though think that Haller’s impressive performance vs Charlton could force the West Ham manager to name him in the starting line-up against Arsenal.

West Ham’s predicted XI vs Arsenal:

Predicted XI: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Soucek, Declan Rice, Mark Noble/Lanzini; Felipe Anderson, Bowen, Haller/Antonio.
