West Ham United have received a major boost in the pursuit of AS Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara as the Serie A side have agreed to listen to offers for the 23-year-old, according to RomaPress.
The report claims: “The transfer market has reopened and Roma are being linked with a number of incoming and outgoing deals following the arrival of Tiago Pinto, the club’s new General Director. One player whose future remains a major question is that of midfielder Amadou Diawara. The Guinean international has seen a major decrease in his playing time and role after he missed over one month due to Coronavirus.
“Diawara’s agent, Daniele Piraino, met via teleconference with Tiago Pinto this week to discuss the situation of his client, who hasn’t featured in the Giallorossi’s previous five league matches.
“The parties agreed to evaluate any offers that they receive for the player, who would be willing to leave the Italian capital if a good opportunity presents itself this month.”

Amadou Diawara joined AS Roma in the summer of 2019 but this season, he’s really struggled to get playing time, featuring in just five Serie A matches so far.
The decision to sell the 23-year-old will be a huge boost for West Ham United but we doubt if they will make a move for him during the January transfer window.
Declan Rice is sure to leave the club but the Hammers will not be parting ways with him this month. So naturally, it does not make any sense to invest in a new defensive midfielder so early on.
Rice is expected to join Chelsea during the summer and once the deal is wrapped up, West Ham United can that money to finance the purchase of Amadou Diawara.
Apart from David Moyes’ side, clubs like Leicester and Arsenal have also been linked with the Guinea international but Diawara would want to join a side where he can get regular playing time next season.
