Liverpool will take on West Ham United in the Premier League on Monday but if Man City lose their game vs Arsenal then Jurgen Klopp’s men will have the chance to go eight points clear at the top of the table.

The Reds could have gone seven points clear at the top of the table in midweek but they could only manage to pick up a draw vs Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp did have a number of injury concerns going into the game against the Foxes but the manager will get some crucial players back for the Hammers encounter.

Liverpool news vs West Ham:

The major boost for the German boss is the return of James Milner to the matchday squad after serving a ban. The versatile player will immediately slot into the right-back role after the manager confirmed that Alexander-Arnold is still not fit.

Joe Gomez is yet to recover from his ankle injury meaning it will be Dejan Lovren who will partner Virgil Van Dijk in central defence.

Fabinho was fit enough to be named in the matchday squad vs the Foxes but the midfielder started that game on the bench.

But against West Ham though, he will hopefully get back his central midfielder’s role alongside Naby Keita and Wijnaldum.

Xherdan Shaqiri started the Leicester City match in midweek but the summer signing will move back to the bench meaning Mo Salah will get back his position on the right flanks and Roberto Firmino will once again play down the middle.
