Will this player be the deciding factor when West Ham take on Wolves?

0

Wolves have lost one and won one match in the 2020/21 season of the Premier League and next up, they travel to the London Stadium for a clash against West Ham United.

The Hammers are winless in their first two matches and to make matters worse, two of their first-team players along with David Moyes have tested positive for COVID-19, so they will play no part in Sunday’s game.

And talking about the outcome of the West Ham vs Wolves game, Michael Owen has predicted that Wolves forward Raul Jimenez could help decide the outcome of the match.

He wrote for BetVictor: “West Ham were left reeling in mid-week by the news that manager David Moyes as well as players Issa Diop and Josh Cullen had tested positive for Coronavirus.

“This means that none of the three will be involved in the match against Wolves on Sunday and at this stage it remains to be seen if any other players have been infected.

With the sales of Matt Doherty to Spurs and Diogo Jota to Liverpool, Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo knew he must strengthen his squad if they are to maintain their development as a force in the Premier League.

“The signing of Nelson Semedo from Barcelona is a big step in the right direction.

“Another huge positive for Santo is the continued goal-scoring form of Raul Jimenez and I fancy that he could be the difference between the two sides in this one.

“1-0 to the Wanderers for me.”

Raul Jimenez has carried on from where he left off last season and so far he has scored two goals in Wolves’ first two league matches.

Apart from the 29-year-old, Wolves have also managed to bring in Nelson Semedo and the former Barcelona will definitely allow Adama Traore to play with much more freedom.
