Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the Man United are seeing what they had been wanting from Jose Mourinho for a long time.

The Norwegian has chosen to play only those players who can play the Man United way which means a lot of players have suddenly fallen down the pecking order.

One such player is Antonio Valencia who has not been selected for five out of the six games that Solskjaer has been in charge of.

Antonio Valencia joined Manchester United from Wigan Athletic and since then the player has been one of those no-fuss squad members.

He came in as a winger but right now he plays as a right-back, that too without any complain.

This season though, the player has been sidelined with constant injuries enabling him to make only five appearances in the Premier League.

And now reports are suggesting that the winger turned full-back could be on his way out of the club during the summer.

Antonio Valencia’s current deal at the club expires during the summer and the club are not likely going to extend it.

Man United will let the player leave for free at the end of the season and his next destination could be West Ham United.

The Hammers manager had shown an interest in signing Antonio Valencia earlier this season and that interest could once again be reignited during the summer.

Manchester United are not keen to offload the senior pro this month and are willing to let him leave for free – as a token of appreciation for his nine years of service.

Solskjaer clearly prefers Ashley Young as his right-back meaning Antonio Valencia will find it really hard to get proper game time during the second half of the season too.

Hence moving to West Ham United at the end of the season will be a win-win situation for everyone.
