Celtic FC take on Rangers in the Scottish Premiership this weekend and many believe a win for the Bhoys would help them seal the fate of the title challenge.

Right now, Celtic are 10 points clear at the top of the table and even a win for the Gers would do very little for Steven Gerrard and his players’ confidence.

But there are many fans who feel that if the Teddy Bears can pick up three points during this Old Firm Derby then Neil Lennon’s side could be inflicted with a mental blow.

Yes, a win for Rangers might just disrupt the title race by that tiny bit but according to former Celtic man Joe Miller, the Bhoys managed to wrap up the title when they took on Kilmarnock towards the end of February.

“People are talking about Sunday’s game as a title decider but, for me, the afternoon Broony scored that last-gasp goal at Kilmarnock was the day Celtic won the league,” he told the Scottish Sun.

“There’s always one pivotal game during a title-winning season when you realise that you’re going to win it — and it’s usually long before it’s mathematically impossible for you to be caught.”

Celtic were on course to a draw vs Killie even with the home team playing the last quarter of the match with 10 men but then Scott Brown stepped up and scored a 90th-minute winner for the Bhoys.

As per Joe Miller, this was the point when Celtic proved that they were truly worthy of defending their Premiership title.

And this is not all.

Many pundits have pointed out that Steven Gerrard’s men lack that cut-throat instinct this season – a factor which has forced them to drop many unnecessary points this campaign.

But having said all this, the Old Firm Derby is still the showstopper in the Scottish Premiership and for that 90 minutes all the permutations and combinations are left aside and what follows is an epic battle of two age-old rivals.
