Arsenal are very close to agreeing on a deal for centre-forward Gabriel Jesus and the Gunners are now working on the final details.
CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs reported on Wednesday that Arsenal have agreed on a verbal deal with Manchester City for the transfer of the Manchester City man and now Fabrizio Romano has provided another update.
According to the Italian expert, Arsenal are now entangled with contract negotiations with the player which means Man City have given the green signal for the Brazilian to move out.
He wrote on Twitter: “Arsenal and Man City, still working on Gabriel Jesus deal. Talks also in progress on player side – takes some time as it’s big deal, with key details now discussed.”

Will Spurs make a late move to the Man City forward?
Spurs have generated a late interest in Gabriel Jesus and this was a cause of concern for Arsenal. Antonio Conte has been attracting a lot of top players so there was a chance that the 25-year-old could snub Arsenal and join the Lilywhites.
However, the forward is more inclined to join Arsenal rather than Tottenham because he wants to play regularly and right now, the Gunners have a better chance of providing that luxury.
According to the Evening Standard(h/t the Daily Mail), Spurs have also understood that they won’t be able to sign Jesus which is why they have retracted their interest in the forward and they will now focus on Raphinha and Richarlison.
When will Arsenal wrap up the transfer for Gabriel Jesus?
Man City and Arsenal seem to have agreed on a deal so what’s left is to agree on personal terms with Gabriel Jesus. Manchester City had rejected a few bids from the Gunners but it looks like their latest offer has been accepted by Guardiola’s side.
Jesus is more than willing to join Mikel Arteta’s side so personal terms should not be an issue.
We expect all the talks to be concluded by the end of this weekend and if everything goes well then Arsenal will make an official announcement sometime next week.
