Arsenal are planning to offload a few players at the end of the 2022/23 season and one of them is most likely to be Kieran Tierney.

Kieran Tierney joined the Gunners from Celtic in 2019 for a fee of around £25 million but the left-back has found it difficult to become a regular starter at the club.

Last season he started in 22 Premier League games but after Zinchenko’s arrival, Tierney has fallen down the pecking order and this time around, he’s managed only four league starts. Zinchenko has done a great job in the left-back role so there’s very little chance that Tierney will get game time in the next weeks as well.

Newcastle United are being strongly linked with the left-back and as per the rumours, a transfer fee of £30 million should be enough to strike a deal.

If this price tag is correct then the Gunners will make a profit of around £5 million from this sale and this is quite enough because Kieran Tierney is of no use to Mikel Arteta.

The manager was recently asked about the 25-year-old’s future at the club and Arteta’s response was not very positive.

He said: “I don’t know, I’m not thinking about it. I’m thinking about what’s best for the team and obviously and the players with the right to play minutes which they all deserve and we’re going to try to do that in the next couple of games.”

Arsenal will be looking to sign four new players during the summer and a left-back is one of them which means Mikel Arteta shouldn’t have any hesitations in letting Kieran Tierney go.

Newcastle United are currently the one club who are being linked with the full-back but before the end of the season comes by we are sure several other PL clubs will show an interest in him as well.
