How long will ‘this’ English international be out of action after his horror injury? And do the Three Lions have a replacement?

Danny Welbeck suffered a horrific injury during Arsenal’s Europa League clash vs Sporting Lisbon on Thursday.

And now the Gunner boss has confirmed that the forward has undergone a surgery to correct the injury.

Danny Welbeck landed awkwardly during the game resulting in a nasty injury which saw his ankle twisted.




Everyone who was watching the game immediately knew that the former Man United man would be out of action for a long period and now Unai Emery has seconded all those voices by refusing to provide a return date for Danny Welbeck.




“Danny Welbeck’s injury is a big injury,” said Emery

“We spoke with him yesterday and today. We support him with our personal relationship between the player and the staff.




“I think he is not going to be with us for a long time.

“Yes. He had an operation on Friday.”




While Unai Emery has made it clear that the doctors will be the best judge as to when Welbeck will return back to full fitness but some reports coming out of London are claiming that the forward could be could of action for the rest of the season.




Danny Welbeck was supposed to feature during England’s clashes against USA and Croatia during the international break after he was named in the squad by Gareth Southgate.

But as per reports, the Three Lions boss has not named a replacement for Danny Welbeck in the England squad.
