Footballers and tattoos go hand in hand.
These days almost every footballer has a tattoo and as they start growing older, the number of tattoos also starts increasing.
But there is one footballer who has chosen to go the other way by removing all his tattoos.
Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley has chosen to remove all his tattoos – even the one which showed his debut for his former club Everton.
Ross Barkley moved to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window for a fee of £15 million. And after remaining on the sidelines for a couple of months with injury, the attacking midfielder is finally finding his feet at the club.
Ross Barkley is featuring regularly under new boss Maurizio Sarri and capped off a fine week by scoring Chelsea’s equaliser against Man United this past weekend.
And now talking about his tattoos, Ross Barkley has revealed why he has chosen to remove them.

Ross Barkley said:Â “I got them (the tattoos that make the sleeve) at a young age and sometimes when you are young you do stupid things and not think about it,
“But I went into it too quick and over the years I felt I wanted to get them removed, so I went through the process in the last couple of years.
“My first tattoo was when I was 14. I was a bit young, like. I was a big lad so they didn’t question my age at the time.
“[I] started getting them removed a couple of years ago. I would never rule out getting another, maybe when I have kids I might have something done to go with that.”
Ross Barkley has so far played 12 games for Chelsea this season and has scored two goals.
