Arsenal are currently on a 19 game unbeaten run and in midweek they travel to Old Trafford and take on Manchester United.

And the Gunners go into this game as the favourites especially after how they dismantled Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Gunners came out 4-2 winners in the season’s North London Derby and for the first time, we saw a real glimpse of how an in-form Unai Emery side faires with a top draw opponent.

Arsenal saw goals from both their strikers while the fourth was scored by midfielder Lucas Torreira who had yet another impactful game at the heart of the team.

The Uruguayan is fast becoming the fulcrum for Unai Emery’s team and after an initial hiccup, Lucas Torreira has now become one of the first players to be named in a match-day lineup.

But speaking after the 4-2 win vs Spurs, Lucas Torreira has warned his teammates not to get too comfortable as Manchester United are still a force to be reckoned with.

“Today it was a great opportunity [for us in the battle for the top four],” Torreira said.

“We managed to win this game that was important for us as a team and for the fans.

“Now the game against Manchester [United] is coming. It will be against a direct rival because Manchester are behind us in the table.

“We have many goals this season. We are playing in several competitions and we are doing it in the best possible way. And the important thing is to continue growing as a team.

“It’s true [United are eight points behind] but they are still Manchester United, they are still a very strong team who have a great coach.

“They are going to play at home, with a lot of fans and we know that all the matches in this championship are different and very difficult.”

Manchester United drew their respective Premier League game 2-2 against the Saints and with each passing game, the Red Devils are moving closer towards the second half of the table – instead of going the other way.
