After chasing him for more than a year, Manchester United have finally gotten their hands on England international Jadon Sancho.

On the 1st of July, Manchester United officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund but the deal is subject to various contractual obligations.

The club posted on its official website: “Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

“The signing is subject to contractual terms and a medical, which will be completed after Jadon’s involvement in the UEFA European Championship.”

After agreeing to sign Jadon Sancho, Manchester United are moving onto their other targets but 22 days have passed but the club are yet to formally complete the signing of the winger.

Initially, Man United were waiting for the European Championship to finish and as soon as the final was over, Jadon Sancho jetted over for his holiday.

Now, there are a few whispers that something might have gone wrong in the deal and this has led to a fair bit of panic amongst the supporters. But the manager has finally come out to explain why the signing is taking so long.

The manager said, as per The Mirror: “From what I understand only paperwork, small little details, hopefully, we can announce something.

“Let’s get all the paperwork done and get him over the line and then I can say what I truly feel about the player.”

Manchester United kick off their Premier League campaign next month when they take on Leeds United at Old Trafford. And Jadon Sancho should be in the starting line-up.
