Man United defender Luke Shaw have been one of the team’s standout performers this season and this weekend’s game vs Arsenal was no different.

United drew 0-0 against Arsenal away from home, meaning they have failed to move to the top spot of the Premier League table and speaking after the match, Luke Shaw had a thing or two to say about his team’s attacking players.

“[It’s] two points dropped I feel. I felt we were in control, Arsenal had a spell but we were comfortable and had countless massive chances we haven’t taken,” the full-back told Sky Sports post-match, as reported by Goal.

“It would have been a brilliant result winning here, we have to be winning these games.

“The chances we had, I don’t think it’s acceptable to come away with a point – I haven’t been in the changing room yet but I’m sure the lads will be disappointed.

“At times we were too slow. Second half we were sloppy and gave the ball away. We didn’t look like we wanted to play. We created the chances and failed to score again and it cost us two points.

“We dropped points in midweek and again here. If we want to be in the title race we have to be winning these games. I don’t know what more to say.”

Luke Shaw has been in terrific form this season and right now, he’s successfully keeping summer signing Alex Telles on the bench(a player who was supposed to replace the England international at left-back).

On Saturday, the England international ran his socks off and he along with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire were three of the best players on the pitch for Manchester United.

We understand why Shaw is frustrated given that United’s best players were defenders, that too in a game which was pretty open and the home side could not create too many chances during the match.

During the 2020-21 season, Luke Shaw has featured in 17 Premier League matches for Man United but he could be rested on Tuesday against Southampton since Solskjaer does have a player like Telles on the bench.
