Aaron Ramsey picked up a hamstring injury during the recent Old Firm Derby and it was almost confirmed that the midfielder’s season in Scotland was over.

Now all of a sudden, The Scottish Sun are asserting that the injury is not serious and that the Juventus loanee could be back in just two weeks.

Giovanni van Bronkhorst had revealed after the Hampden game: “He (Ramsey) had some problems with his hamstring so we need to assess it.

“But of course, I think he has something but we do not know yet what it is. He could not play on so that looks like an injury.”

After the injury, there were reports that the playmaker is not going to play anymore this season which is why he is ready to cut his loan deal short and return to Juventus but now this fresh information is claiming that once Aaron Ramsey had gone for further scans, it was revealed that the hamstring injury is minor and he will be back in no time at all.

Will the return of Aaron Ramsey be a boost for Rangers FC?

If the two-week timeline is correct then Aaron Ramsey will miss the Motherwell game and the 1st leg vs RB Leipzig but should be back for the next Old Firm Derby.

Now, the league has more or less slipped away from Rangers’ hands so even if he missed the derby on the 1st of May, Van Bronkhorst won’t be too disheartened.

But, the most positive side of this report is that Aaron Ramsey should be available for the 2nd leg of the Europa League semi-final.

Rangers FC play the 2nd leg at home and if they can manage to hold Leipzig in the 1st leg then Ramsey’s European experience can be very useful at Ibrox.

He was one of the standout performers against Braga in the 2nd leg of the quarter-finals and if he is available for at least one of the RB Leipzig games then Rangers will have a great chance at reaching a major European final.
