Chelsea are said to be interested in signing Wolves winger Adama Traore who also happens to be a target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, as per The Telegraph.

Matt Law writes: “Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel wants to add a new right-sided player to his squad this summer and, as well as Hakimi, is interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Adama Traore.

“Both Hakimi and Traore could play as a right wing-back or as a right winger and the arrival of either man, or a different right-sided player, would add balance to the Chelsea squad.

“Tuchel is delighted with the progress of academy graduate Reece James and a new right-sided player would not be coming in to replace the England international.”

Where will Adama Traore be playing next season?

Adama Traore has been linked with Liverpool for a really long time and Jurgen Klopp is really eager to bring him on board. But now with Chelsea interested in him, the Wolves man could snub the Anfield outfit.

Firstly, Liverpool have Mo Salah in their ranks so Traore will have to really sweat it out to find a consistent place in the starting line-up next season. But at Chelsea, things will be a lot easier for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea have Callum Hudson-Odoi in their side but the academy lad has not shone under Thomas Tuchel this past season so Adama Traore can come in and become a regular starter for the Stamford Bridge outfit.

As per TransferMarkt, the winger is valued at £27 million but since he has only two years left on his current contract so Wolves cannot demand too steep a price for him this summer.

Plus, he has been really underwhelming this season scoring just two and assisting three goals in 37 Premier League games so neither Chelsea nor Liverpool will be ready to pay a massive sum for Adama Traore.

All in all, this interest from Chelsea is sure to derail Liverpool’s interest and it will not be a total surprise if Jurgen Klopp decides to ditch his plans and move for a sure target.

Adama Traore is not the only right-sided player who is on Chelsea’s radar but their other target, Achraf Hakimi will cost them around 75-80 million euros – plus Inter Milan want to do a cash only deal.

Wolves are planning a major overhaul this summer and to gather funds the club are now willing to sell some of their most prized possessions and the names of Adama Traore and Ruben Neves are at the top of the list.
