Will this Man United man get a start vs Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday?

Man United have brought in winger Amad Diallo during the January transfer window and there’s a chance he can make his debut as early as this weekend when the Red Devils take on Liverpool at Anfield.

Amad Diallo was late to arrive at the club after his deal was held up due to work permit and passport complications but the former Atlanta man finally arrived in Carrington a few days ago and has now started training with the first-team squad.

His arrival comes at the perfect time for Man United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that the 18-year-old could very well feature in the match-day squad on Sunday.

The manager said, as reported: “I do not rule out that he [Diallo] is in the squad for the Liverpool match.

“Things can happen. You see how fast things happen over here in England. Suddenly, a team has six players out with the corona. So you do not know.

“I do not want to put any timeframe on it [Diallo’s debut], but he is at least in the [first-team] group, trains with us and can be selected in the squad.

“We are lucky that we aren’t struggling with injuries and we have a squad who’s fit and ready, it’s a sign that things are going well too. They [United players] bite their teeth together and overlook minor injuries so that they are ready anyway.”

Amad Diallo will only get a few days training before the EPL clash vs Liverpool and we seriously doubt if the Man United manager will use him at any point in the match.

Manchester United have plenty of attacking options in their squad and almost all of them are fit and available for selection. So we really don’t see why Ole will rush the youngster into making his first-team debut and risk denting his confidence(in case he has a bad outing).

Also, the winger has played very little football during the 2020-21 season which is another big reason why the Man United boss will resist throwing him into such a big game straight away.
