Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly ready to part ways with defender Antonio Rudiger and Liverpool could very well be his next destination.

Mundo Deportivo are claiming: “Central Antonio Rüdiger could have the hours counted at Chelsea and one of the teams that has shown the most interest in taking over his services is Liverpool, who are still looking for a central after Lovren’s departure to Zenit.”

It’s being claimed that Frank Lampard wants money to bring him new players which is why he will let Antonio Rudiger leave if someone is willing to pay the right price.

This season, Rudiger has failed to be cement a regular place in the starting line-up having featured in just 20 Premier League matches so we don’t see why the Blues boss will hesitate to part ways with him.

Liverpool currently have Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip as their only first-choice central defender which is why Jurgen Klopp is out in the market trying to bring in an experienced centre-back before the new season kicks off.

But while Lampard should have no issues in cashing onto the German defender but we do not think the manager will be too eager to let Antonio Rudiger join the reigning Premier League champions.

If the London outfit gets an offer from the other European leagues then they will surely consider them but at this point in time, we do not think Liverpool have a very positive chance of bringing the 27-year-old on board.

Having said all this, remember how Frank Lampard let David Luiz move across London and join local rivals Arsenal next summer?

It’s also being claimed that Chelsea are eager to sign defender John Stones from Manchester City after the England international has fallen down the pecking order at the club.
