Man United centre-back Axel Tuanzebe has been lately been linked with a move to newly-promoted Premier League side Leeds United.
The Athletic’s Phil Hay recently said: “Would expect Leeds to keep their powder dry for a little while now.
“But still want someone who fits the winger/number 10 mould (no second bid for Kent so far). And I wonder if Bielsa will soften on an extra centre-back. Man Utd’s Axel Tuanzebe a name that’s been mentioned.”

And now Alan Hutton(who played with Axel Tuanzebe at Villa Park) has admitted that if Bielsa can manage to sign the centre-back then it will be a great addition to his squad for the upcoming season.
On being asked if Tuanzebe would be a good signing for Leeds, Hutton told Football Insider: “Oh, 100 per cent.
“For one so young, he had such an old head on his shoulders. He was strong, he was very, very quick, he was good with the ball – he was everything that you want in a top centre-half and he was willing to learn and work.
“He was constantly in the gym, he did everything right, he had a great mentality. I think if Leeds can get him, they’d be over the moon with that.
“Leeds, if they can do this, I think the fans will be really excited about that. It’d be another strong defender to add to their books and that’s the type of player they need, I think, to really help them stay in the league.”
Will Axel Tuanzebe be allowed to join Leeds United?
Axel Tuanzebe came with a lot of promise but so far he has failed to live up to all the expectations at Manchester United.
During the 2019-20 season, he spent a long time out on the sidelines due to injuries and could only manage to play in five Premier League games for the club.
Man United are also eyeing a move for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano and if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can manage to land the centre-back before the new season kicks off then there’s every chance he might allow Axel Tuanzebe to join the Elland Road outfit.
