Man United defender Axel Tuanzebe has been trying to get a constant place in the first-team starting XI all throughout this season but so far he’s had little success. The manager has put a lot of faith in him coming good one day but according to journalist Andy Mitten, the club could finally be tempted to sell him off.
Tuanzebe is one of the brighter stars to have come out of the club’s esteemed academy in recent years but this season, the centre-back has played a total of just 130 minutes across six Premier League games.
And with so many options in central defence, Man United might be tempted to cash in on the 23-year-old if an interested club comes in with a decent offer.
He wrote on Twitter: “If mufc thought Tuanzebe was going to come through, they wouldn’t be scouting central defenders. If a club came in and offered good money for Axel Tuanzebe, mufc will be tempted by that.”

Axel Tuanzebe has one more year left on his current deal with Manchester United but the club have the option of extending it for one more season.
But the way the youngster has been progressing, we doubt if Solskjaer can remain patient for too long.
Right now, Man United have Lindelof and Maguire are their number one pairing in central defence with Eric Bailly as the backup. And, if things work out perfectly then Ole will have another centre-back at his disposal during the summer transfer window.
This means Axel Tuanzebe will fall further down the pecking order so it will be a much more sensible choice for the club to sell him and get in some funds.
Right now, no major club is being linked with the defender but if Man United do put him up for sale then we are sure a lot of big Premier League sides will grow interested.
According to TransferMarkt, Axel Tuanzebe is currently valued at around £7 million which in terms of today’s market is dirt cheap.
