FC Barcelona are planning to bring in a few new players during the summer transfer window and the names of Sergio Aguero and Gini Wijnaldum rank very high on this list.

A report from Di Marzio claim: “Barcelona is eyeing two players on expiring contracts in 2021, Sergio Aguero and Georginio Wijnaldum.

“There have been contacts between Barça and the Man City striker, who has announced he will leave the Premier League club after the season. The contacts were meant to feel out the player’s interest.”

Gini Wijnaldum is out of contract at Liverpool this summer and the Dutch international is not too keen to sign a new deal with the Premier League side as he has his sights set on a move to Barcelona in the coming months.

As per the latest updates, Barcelona have offered the midfielder a three-year contract at the club and they are very confident Wijnaldum will agree to all the terms and the transfer will go ahead pretty smoothly.

Man City recently announced that Sergio Aguero will leave the club this summer once his contract expires and if Barcelona manage to sign him as a free agent as well then it will be a great bit of business from Ronald Koeman.

Aguero has been in pretty poor form this season having played in only eight Premier League games so far but the 32-year-old still has a lot of prowess left in him. And Barcelona can surely use someone of his experience.

Wijnaldum should be a pretty straight forward signing for Barcelona this summer but Koeman will have to work really hard if he is serious about bringing in Sergio Aguero also.

The Argentinian will have a lot of demand in the transfer market given that he will be available as a free agent but the Catalans are hoping to win this transfer race banking on Aguero’s great relationship with Lionel Messi.

Barcelona are in a lot of financial debt right now so the management will be looking to save every penny they can in the transfer market. And in doing so if they can sign players like Gini Wijnaldum and Aguero on free transfers then it will be some really witty business from the La Liga side.
