According to a report from TBR Football, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have all been informed about the availability of Raphinha at the end of this season.

Barcelona had signed the winger from Leeds United in 2022 for an an initial fee of €59 million but their financial condition will force them to sell several key players and Raphinha happens to be one of them.

The winger is valued at around €50 million with three more years remaining on his current contract and as per rumours, Barcelona, are now ready to accept €58 million for his sale during the upcoming transfer window.

A return to the Premier League looks the most likely with at least four clubs interested in him. Liverpool have long-time admirers of the Brazilian international and in recent months, Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea have joined the transfer race. Newcastle United have also been mentioned but we doubt if they can afford to sign him because they are very close to breaching the FFP rules.

Should Barcelona sell an important player like Raphinha?

In two seasons, Raphinha has played in 85 games across all competitions and this campaign, the 27-year-old has scored five goals and nine assists in 26 La Liga games for Barcelona.

This season, he’s missed 12 games due to three different injuries which is why he’s started only 15 league games but whenever he’s played, the right-winger has made a positive impact. His five goals have come from just 19 shots on target and in the league, the 27-year-old has an xA of 4.92.

Any other time and Xavi would have loved to hold onto Raphinha but Barca are in dire need of funds which is why they have no other options but to offload him at the end of this season. However, it is a bit surprising to hear that Barcelona are willing to accept only €58 million for someone whose contract expires in 2027.

As per reports, every player in the current Barcelona squad is up for sale and while we can debate about the price tag, if the Catalans are ready to sell players like Araujo and Frenkie De Jong then definitely Raphinha has the chance to leave.

Which Premier League club is more likely to sign the ex-Leeds man?

Liverpool have been wanting to sign Raphinha as Mo Salah’s long-term replacement and this could turn into reality in the summer because Salah has been linked with a move to the Saudi league.

Arsenal and Spurs are looking to add depth on the right wing which is why Raphinha has been on their radar however it will be a challenging move because we doubt if the Barcelona winger will be eager to fight with players like Bukayo Saka or Kulusevski for a regular place in the team.

Chelsea are the other side who have been linked with the Brazilian winger but signing a right-winger is not their priority in the summer because they have Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke who play on that flank.

If Raphinha feels that he has to leave then he will definitely want to join a team who he has minimal to no competition but at the same time, the ex-Leeds man will want to keep playing in the Champions League next season.
