PSG join Barcelona in the race to sign this Man City playmaker: Which option does he prefer?

Bernardo Silva

Bernardo Silva is wanted by FC Barcelona and as per the latest rumours, French giants PSG have also registered an interest in the playmaker.

Silva has been linked with Barca throughout the summer and it’s being claimed that the 27-year-old is very much eager to step out of the Etihad Stadium and head to the Camp Nou before deadline day.

There were many people who had suggested that Guardiola will not allow such an important player to leave but the Man City manager has very candidly hinted that a transfer could very well be on the cards.

“Sometimes for the club, sometimes for the players, sometimes for the agent, sometimes you have to divide our path,” the manager has admitted.

“Especially the desire of the player is the most important thing. Of course, I would love Bernardo to continue here, he is a special player for us. But I don’t know what is going to happen.

“What happens will happen, and if he stays it is perfect and in the end if he has to leave it is because football is like this; the player has a desire.”

Barca are yet to make any sort of formal offers for Bernardo Silva and now in a major twist, PSG might be looking to stage a coup before Barcelona can make up their mind.

Will Bernardo Silva be tempted to join PSG instead of Barcelona?

Bernardo Silva has his heart set on a move to the Camp Nou and if Barcelona don’t come calling, the midfielder won’t mind staying with Manchester City for one more season.

Paris Saint-Germain are likely to get in touch with Man City over a possible move but it’s highly unlikely that Silva is going to choose a move to Paris.

UPDATE:

On Tuesday morning, there have been reports from Gerard Romero that Barcelona and Manchester City have agreed on a fee of less than €80m for Bernardo Silva and if this is true then this transfer is only a matter of time.

Silva and Barca have already discussed personal terms meaning if a transfer fee is agreed upon then PSG won’t be making any further moves.
