Celtic FC have decided to part ways with their 22-year-old winger Marian Shved during the upcoming transfer window – as per Football Insider.

The report claims: “Celtic are set to tell Marian Shved to find a new club for next season, Football Insider understands.

“The forward has struggled to acclimatise in Glasgow and made just three appearances since joining the Hoops in January of last year for £2million.

“A Celtic source has told Football Insider that Shved is keen to explore a move either on loan or permanently this summer.”

Celtic FC had really high hopes from the Ukrainian but this season the winger has clearly failed to impress, featuring in just three matches across all competition.

And a couple of months ago, Neil Lennon had admitted that Shved had failed to acclimatize himself to the life in Scotland which might be one of the main reasons for his poor form.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “We’ve got one player, Marian Shved from Ukraine. His wife is in Ukraine so he’s on his own. A couple of the lads have taken him under his wing and keeping an eye on him, making sure he’s okay.

“His English isn’t great. He was in today doing a little bit with one of the other players in a bit of a two-man training session.”

Celtic FC are clearly not ready to shoulder his burden any longer but if the Bhoys do decide to sell him off, they will have to do it at a loss.

Lennon’s side paid €2.00 million for the player’s services and right now, no club in Europe will be ready to pay this amount for the winger.

So, the SPFL side will have no other option but to send him out at a discount just so that they can free up their wage bill for the upcoming season.
