Chelsea kick-off their Premier League campaign with an away match against Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday night.

The Blues have made a number of major signing during the ongoing transfer and according to pundit Michael Owen, the sheer might of the Chelsea side should be more than enough to ensure that they return home with all three points.

Owen told BetVictor: “Brighton are set for a pretty solid season in my opinion and although they certainly flirted with relegation last season, their new style of play could well pay dividends in this new campaign.

“Chelsea have undoubtedly been busiest in the Transfer market so far this pre-season and they really do seem to have made a number of excellent additions to their squad.

“All eyes will be on Frank Lampard and his team as he looks to bed everyone in quickly so that they can hit the ground running from the start of the season.

“I am so excited about watching their progress this season and I think they could provide a real challenge to the pre-season favourites of Liverpool and Manchester City.

“It’s hard to see beyond a comprehensive victory for Frank Lampard’s Blues in this one and I’m going for a 3-1 win to Chelsea.”

It’s really hard to see Chelsea drop points against Brighton, despite this being an away fixture.

But what will be interesting to see is how Frank Lampard sets up his new-look starting XI on Monday, more so with players like Ziyech and Silva not likely to feature.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both made winning starts to their respective matches in the Premier League so Chelsea would also want to pick up all three points in order to maintain pace with the other top-six contenders.
